ART-U PROTAGONIST AT BOLOGNA DESIGN WEEK

Galletti S.p.A., during Bologna Design Week, is a sponsor and one of the protagonists of“Questa volta in Teatro”, an installation that transforms the Respighi Foyer of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna into a theatre of wonders, also thanks to the installation of Art-U, the fan coil with an innovative design in the new Red version, made of red aluminium.

Galletti S.p.A, designer and manufacturer of hydronic indoor units, chillers and heat pumps since 1906, has become a sponsor/partner of Bologna Design Week 2019. It took part in the organisation of Questa volta in Teatro, the lecture day dedicated to innovation, which allowed the company to present the process of conception, creation, communication and development of Art-U: the first design-driven fan coil unit on the market, and the latest addition to Galletti’s range.

Galletti’s Art-U fan coils have become an integral part of the work of established artists such asWarios, a Rome-based calligrapher and designer from the international group “Calligraffiti Ambassadors”, who in his work Fesh, r created for Galletti S.p.A.’s Art-U, uses a calligraphic style reminiscent of street art, with geometric, hypnotic lines.MarbaF, a collective founded in 2011, chose the Red version of Art-U to create the work Warm – an emotional and harmonious intersection of painting and photography, rich in warmth and colour.
After an introduction by Elena Vai, Creative Director of BDW, on the installation Questa Volta in Teatro, developed in collaboration with Studio Associato Marchingegno e a Baustudio, with the partnership of Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Bologna e Bologna Design Week, and with the valuable collaboration of Leonardo srl, Artefatto di Mirco Lotierzo, Consorzio Cires, Viabizzuno e Galletti SpA, which transformed the foyer into a wonderland, Michele Galletti, Managing Director of Galletti S.p.A., presented an overview of the history, evolution and future prospects of what can be considered a success story of Italian origin for over 100 years.
